The flower festival

Colombia is famous for its festivals. One of the most popular ones is the flower festival in Medellin in August. People from the surrounding hill towns compete in the flower parade. They build flower arrangements and carry them on their backs for many many miles. These flower arrangements are called silleteros.

There was also a parade of classic cars. It was a fun week.
